Mysterious History (Part 1)

I have always been intrigued by events in our past that cannot be explained. To this end, I have decided to write a series of articles on this fascinating subject.

The mysterious Stargate of Aramu Muru, Peru

This ancient construction was first discovered in 1996 by Jose Luis Delgado Mamani, a tour guide who was out on a trek in order to become acquainted with the area. Purely by chance, he came upon the gigantic doorway – a structure measuring 7 metres high by 7 metres wide, with a smaller entrance carved into it. Although the structure survived after the Inca civilization, it is believed the stone construction existed prior to the Incas.

There have been many varied speculations about the purpose of this doorway. Some people believe it’s a Stargate, a portal for aliens, and some even claim to have visions of stars and fire when they touch the portal, or feel energy and hear music.

However, the legend goes that, at the time of the arrival of the Spanish Conquistadors in Peru, an Incan priest called Aramu Muru of the Seven Rays Monastery ran away with a valuable Golden Sun Disc, known as “The key of the Gods of the Seven Rays”, to hide it from the Spanish. Aramu Muru hid in the mountains and finally reached the doorway, which was being minded by shaman priests. After he showed them the key, the priests performed a ritual, which was followed by a mysterious occurrence set in motion by the golden disc.

This enabled the portal to open and a blue light to radiate from a tunnel inside the rock. The legend goes that Aramu Muru gave the disc to the shaman priests and then stepped into the portal. He was never seen again.
Archaeologists have examined the structure and confirmed there is a small hand-sized circular depression on the right-hand side of the smaller doorway. They have come to the conclusion that a small circular disc would definitely fit in that space.
The legend finishes with a prophecy that the door of the gods will one day open "many times bigger than it actually is and allow the gods to return in their sun ships".

Zona del Silencio

There is a desert area north of Mexico, in the central part of Bolson de Mapimi, where radio signals fail, watches stop working and compasses spin uncontrollably. The flora and fauna are particular to this place and meteorites seem to favour it as a crash site. It’s called the Zone of Silence.

In July 1970, a missile was launched from a military base in Utah headed for White Sands missile range, 700 miles away. However, the Athena missile flew hundreds of miles past its destination. It veered completely off course, lost control and crashed in the Zone of Silence. There is still no plausible explanation for this, other than to indicate that the missile seemed to have been pulled in the direction of the Zone of Silence.

There is an opinion that all the anomalies are due to underground deposits of magnetite and debris from meteorites. Nonetheless, a most bizarre coincidence is that the Zone of Silence is situated along the same parallel (28th and 26th) as the Bermuda Triangle and the Egyptian Pyramids! In any case, the area has a profusion of celestial movement (some even say this includes appearances by UFOs!)

Nazca Lines in Peru

The Nazca Lines, which have mystified people for many years, are a collection of huge geoglyphs formed by depressions or shallow incisions made in the soil of the Nazca Desert in southern Peru. They were created by pre-Incans between 400 B.C. and 1000 A.D. They are deemed to be one of the most alluring ancient mysteries in the world and it’s thought that the massive figures had an astronomical purpose.

Well-known controversial author Erich von Daniken brought attention to these large carvings in his book “Chariot of the Gods”, suggesting they were actually created to guide extraterrestrials down to Earth. There have been various opinions on the planned function of the Nazca lines. Some think they may have portrayed constellations, while others reckon they were runways for ancient airports.

There are more than 800 straight lines, 300 geometric shapes and 70 animal and plant carvings, referred to as biomorphs. Various straight lines are up to 30 miles long and the animals and plants are between 50 to 1200 feet long (the length of the Empire State Building). The gigantic shapes range from birds, various types of animals, a spider and even what looks like a human being called the “astronaut”. However, there is a curious fact – a couple of the bird carvings are of a hermit and a pelican. These types of exotic birds are forest and coastal birds respectively, and their habitats are quite far away from the Nazca lines. Why would the ancient civilization responsible for the shapes depict these birds? And more importantly ….. how?

The mystery remains unsolved to this day, but with the positive advance of technology, the solution might be closer than we think…

Dogon Tribe and the Sirius Mystery

Near Burkina Faso, in a desert close to Mali, live a clan of people called the Dogon. They are believed to be directly descended from the ancient Egyptians. There are many mysteries in connection with this tribe, but the most recognised is the one about Sirius. According to their legend, the Nommo brought a basket to Earth that carried the clay needed to build the village's grain stores. However simple this may sound, it actually conceals a very intelligent awareness of the Universe. The basket's contents depict the Dogon and diverse stars and constellations – Pleiades, Orion and a comet, all in their rightful place in the firmament.
For thousands of years, this tribe has known that the sun is the centre of our Solar System. They also knew that Saturn has rings and that Jupiter has four main moons.

Most prominent is their knowledge on Sirius. They are familiar with the fact that Sirius is a binary system, composed of stars Sirius A and Sirius B, and that Sirius B revolves on an elliptical orbit around Sirius A every 50 years; and if that wasn't enough, they also know the exact location of Sirius A within the orbit.

The astonishing information is that Sirius B was discovered by astronomer Alvan Clark in 1862 and it wasn't till 1970 that evidence and a photograph of it emerged. The Dogon tribe knew all this hundreds of years before and without our intervention as the Dogon were found just over a century ago. They even knew that Sirius B is a white dwarf which they call “Po Tolo”. Sirius A is called Sigi Tolo. They say there is a third star, Sirius C, which they call “Emme Ya Tolo” and this star, supposedly, has an orbiting planet, which they call “Nyan Tolo”, although their existence is still under debate. The Egyptian goddess Isis is also linked to Sirius. The Dogon affirm the Nommo visited Earth in spaceships thousands of years ago. A smaller spaceship emerged from the mother ship, landed on Earth and contacted the Egyptians and Sumerians. The story goes on to say that the Nommo altered human genetics to make them more intelligent and stronger. According to their legend, the Nommo then left Earth and became Saturn's moon Phoebe. Maybe an interpretation of that might be that the Nommo positioned themselves by this celestial body. Maybe to be near Earth? In any case, the Dogon say the Nommo will return one day, which will be proof that their story was true all along ….
